Next Sunday 8th
March, we will celebrate International Women's day. It's a time to reflect on progress made by
ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their
countries and communities.
In the Art field, we have
focused on one of the most important women of
the modern times : FRIDA KALHO. She was a Mexican artist and she worked
very hard against her illness and she recovered from a very bad car accident.
She made lots of self-portraits when she was ill. In the Art lessons we have
investigated about a famous portrait entitled: “selfportrait in a velvet
dress”. In that picture Frida looks very pretty and elegant. Do you know why?
